Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs by Jayhun Bayramov and Great Britain’s State Minister Vendy Morton today took place a telephone conversation.
The press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports that the parties exchanged views on issues in connection with the implementation of a tripartite statement.
Wendy Morton expressed satisfaction with the transmission by Azerbaijan 15 detained Armenians in exchange for the presentation of Armenia Main Fields in the Agdam district. The British minister positively appreciated this step from the point of view of reducing tensions between the parties and strengthen confidence. Wendy Morton expressed regret and condolences in connection with the death of Azerbaijani journalists and a civilian as a result of undermining on Mine.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom for supporting the demining process in the liberated areas of Azerbaijan through the UN Development Program and for cooperation with Azerbaijan on demining.
Parties also discussed issues of cooperation in renewable energy sources, noting the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and BP.
During the telephone conversation, other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
