On Tuesday, March 4, the interim attorney in Iran’s affairs in Ankara was invited to the Turkish Foreign Ministry to exchange opinions and discuss charges of a number of Iranian officials against Turkey. This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ondge Kecheli.
The diplomat noted that meetings and exchange of views with Iranian officials are held regularly.
According to him, during the current meeting, issues of bilateral relations were discussed, and the statements of a number of Iranian officials regarding Turkey were considered.
The representative of the Turkish Foreign Ministry indicated that the public critical statements of the Iranian officials regarding Turkey have recently become more frequent.
Kecheli recalled that earlier the Iranian side was transferred to the dossier on this topic, prepared by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
“We believe that the issues of foreign policy should not be used as a material for domestic policy. In this regard, we prefer to convey critical signals that need to be brought to the attention of another country, directly to their addressees. We have gone this path today. We attach great importance to the relations with Iran. The strengthening of relations between Turkey and Iran is important for us,” he said, commenting on commenting on situation.
