“Unfortunately, two poles were formed on the eve of elections in Armenia (there are in mind the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the ex-president Robert Kocharian), whose representatives want to come to power at any cost.” According to Armenian media, this is stated in the statement of the first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
“Both sides have huge financial, administrative and criminal resources and will go any step to achieve the goal. I do not want to talk about the dangers that this situation is fraught with,” Armenian politician said.
Armenia could be derived from the crisis, replacing power and forming a transitional anti-crisis government. The ex-president recalled that she had previously proposed two other ex-presidents together to form a transitional government from professionals in which the former leaders of Armenia would not occupy any posts. However, Robert Kocharian and Serge Sargsyan did not agree to it.
According to Ter-Petrosyan, programs as such is not one of the sides of the specified pole, they are engaged in fighting with each other.
It is fraught with the fact that the upcoming elections can become the most shameful in the history of the country, the ex-head of Armenia noted. The violations possible on both sides may result in clarifying relations at polling stations that can grow into larger clashes, adding Ter-Petrosyan.
