Foreign citizens will be able to be in Russia on a single electronic visa for 30 days instead of 16. The Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced this at a government meeting.
During the government meeting, Mikhail Mishustin noted the active development of tourist grow in the country, so that more and more people prefer to relax in Russia. According to him, last year the number of tourist trips in Russia increased by 10%.
“For the second year, residents of 64 states have been received by a single electronic visa. During this time it is issued more than a million times. Today we will consider a change in the legislation that we will increase the term of stay on it. Now it will be 30 days instead of 16. At the same time, the visa period will also grow to four months,” said the Government Chairman.
“Foreign tourists who are interested in our unique nature, a rich history, in general our country, will be able to travel more in Russia. The capabilities of those who come to us to strengthen contacts with business will also expand,” he added.
A single electronic visa for entry into the Russian Federation was launched on August 1, 2023.
