Residents of Moscow and Moscow Region will be able to buy vegetables, fruits and berries from Azerbaijan cheaper thanks to the new logistics center in this country and a simplified corridor for the delivery of products to Russia. It is reported by Life.
The new Khudat Center is being built on the Russian-Azerbaijani border, Russian customs officers will arrive there by agreement between countries, which will eliminate the double passage of customs cargoes. In addition, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation finalized the project on a simplified corridor, which will allow the amendments to act in practice in the near future. According to entrepreneurs, this will reduce the travel time to Moscow and the region to one and a half days, will deliver goods to the southern regions for a day faster, and the cost of logistics will be reduced by 30%.
As the director of the Center for Agribusiness and Food Security of the Russian Academy of National Economy Anatoly Tikhonov noted Life, such an initiative can only be greeted.
“If the goods are perishable, then they should be as quickly as possible on the consumer shelves, so as not to lose their properties so that the load is fresh and tasty. This is on the one hand. On the other, this will probably reduce the cost of the cargo. Therefore For the Russian consumer, it seems to me that it should only be for the good, ”said Tikhonov.
