The Ministry of Finance of Russia did not agree on a project for subsidizing Russian airports in the amount of 10 billion rubles, proposed by the Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency, Writing Vedomosti with reference to sources.
According to the publication, the project was developed on behalf of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The project provided for the allocation of funds for partial reimbursing to the airports of expenses on basic production activities and interest on investment loans. In mid -July, the initiative took place the stage of interagency coordination. A source of the newspaper said that at a large airport, the Ministry of Finance did not agree on the current project after the meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov. At the same time, the interlocutor of the publication close to the Ministry of Transport specified that the interdepartmental work on the project is ongoing. The reasons for the decision of the Ministry of Finance did not name the sources of the publication.
As the source familiar with the promotion of this initiative believes, the Ministry of Finance studied the reports of the airports and could come to the conclusion that so far they have “not so bad” and put this project in pause.
