The Russian army fighting in Ukraine will be able to officially replenish yesterday’s schoolchildren, including those who did not serve on conscription, the Air Force found out. The Parliamentary Defense Committee recommended that the State Duma recommended such an amendment.
The amendment will make contracts with 18-year-olds immediately after graduation. Now for this you need to finish the technical school – from there they leave at least a year or two older and with the profession. At the end of May, the authorities allowed to replenish the army with more mature contractors, canceling restrictions on the marginal age of admission to the service.
The rules for concluding contracts established by Article 34 of the Federal Law “On Military Duties and Military Service” will change after the adoption of the amendment, which the State Duma will consider on June 28 in the second reading of the bill.
At the end of May, legislators canceled the age limit for military service under the contract. Until now, citizens of Russia could have concluded the first contract from 18 to 40 years old, foreign citizens – up to 30 years. Deputy Minister of Defense Nikolai Pankov specified that both Russian citizens and foreigners can be taken to military service under the contract until the age of 50. The Russian president has already signed the law.
The new amendments provide for a decrease in educational qualifications – and therefore the age of recruits -contractes. Now the army, as well as the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Emergencies and the foreign intelligence service, are taken not served by graduates of secondary specialized educational institutions, but to the FSB – graduates of universities.
