Third ministerial meeting “Central Asia – Italy” was held in Rome

In Rome, the third ministerial meeting “Central Asia – Italy” in the format C5+1 was held, aimed at strengthening cooperation between countries.

A meeting with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Italy Antonio Tayan, as well as the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the state guest house of Villa Madama in Rome.

“Italy is considering political cooperation and opportunities that are opened for our business in Central Asia. The establishment of strategic partnership with these countries in the field of water and environmental resources and higher education, as well as the strengthening of economic and industrial cooperation, have a decisive for us. meaning.

Italian Foreign Minister noted that Rome intends to strengthen cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.

“The government gave a powerful impetus for the intensification of relations with the countries of the region, as evidenced by economic forums conducted with Uzbekistan in June 2023, with Kazakhstan in January of this year and with Tajikistan in April. region, ”he said.

According to the prime minister, in the framework of interaction with all the countries of Central Asia, special projects are attached to regional projects in the field of infrastructure, agriculture, mechanical engineering and energy.

It is also noted that within the framework of the meeting, issues such as the energy transition between countries, global problems and communication issues were discussed.
