Third plane flew to Libya with help of Turkey

The third military transport aircraft of the Turkish Air Force with employees of the Turkish department for the prevention and elimination of the consequences of the Turkish emergency (AFAD) flew to Libya.

“We continue to deliver the search and rescue groups and humanitarian goods to friendly and fraternal Libya. The third plane of our Air Force flew out of the command post of the Murted Airport for the delivery of AFAD groups to Libya,” the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey said in a social defense posted in social Networks x.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that Ankara decided to send three aircraft to humanitarian aid and search and rescue units.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed solidarity with Libya in connection with numerous victims as a result of a natural disaster.

Storm Daniel collapsed into several regions of East Libya. The cities of Benghazi, Al-Baida and Al-Marj, as well as Sousse and Sherna, were most affected.

The number of dead due to a natural disaster in Libya exceeded 3,000 people, tens of thousands of people are considered missing.
