The trial in the criminal case of a 34-year-old resident of the Shamkirsky district Elmaddin Hasanov, accused of a brutal murder of a pregnant wife and a young daughter, was completed.
The incident occurred on February 13 of this year in the village of Chinarli of the Shamkirsky district. Hasanov defeated his 27-year-old pregnant wife Lale due to dissatisfaction with the attitude of a woman to his relatives. Their 8-year-old daughter Gumru, who tried to stop her father, woke up on the noise. Her Gasanov also stabbed her. He killed with particular cruelty: Lala received 33, and the child – 22 stabs with a knife.
The criminal case was investigated in the Ganjin Court of Crime. The accused did not plead guilty of charges against him. According to his testimony, he and Lala got married in 2013, the relationship was normal, without any quarrels and conflicts. Gasanov, who declared the presence of neurological problems, brought to the attention of the court that he has been treated with a doctor since 2008: “Doctors said that you should be treated until the end of life.”
The accused added that he did not remember how he committed the murder: “I did not kill his wife and daughter. This is the work of the devil and dark forces. I do not understand how a person can kill a pregnant wife and his own child.”

The relatives of the deceased said that Lala had a calm character, everyone respected her, there was no quarrel in the family. “Elmaddin is our distant relative. He sometimes complained about headaches, but did not suffer from mental illness. He was not registered in a psychiatric hospital. I ask you to get a life sentence,” said the father of the murdered woman, Elman.
The only witness to the incident was the grandmother of Elmaddin, Gumru Hasanova. She said that, seeing the bloodied body of Lala, she fainted, and when she came to herself, she saw a dead granddaughter nearby.
According to the conclusion of a forensic psychiatric expert, Hasanov suffers from a personality disorder. Nevertheless, it is recognized that he could control his actions at the time of the crime. By a decision of the court, Elmaddin Hasanov was sentenced to 20 years in prison, the first 5 years, serving in prison, the remainder – in a correctional institution of a maximum regime.
