Several thousand American military will be in the southeast of Romania in the next nine months, reports New York Times.
According to the publication, the Air Force base in the southeastern part of the country, on which about 4 thousand American soldiers are based from last summer, is used as a training for NATO forces in Eastern Europe. It is noted that the military rotation will be carried out as part of the 101st landing division.
In addition, according to the publication, the military leadership will be on the basis, including the general, the sending of which the newspaper explains the need to make quick decisions, “if the conflict around Ukraine goes beyond the country and extends to NATO participants.”
