The Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TİKA) has implemented a project to develop agricultural production in the Agades in the Niger region, which suffers from global warming and drought.
In the village of Eladep, located in the Agades region, which suffered from drought, global warming and irregular migration flows, Ti̇ka created the Center for Agricultural Production and Testing on an area of 2 hectares.
The center is equipped with everything necessary for year -round production, regardless of the rain season: gardens, a well, a reservoir, solar energy systems, a warehouse for materials, irrigation systems, as well as seeds, fertilizers, plant protection products, water capacity, shovels, shovels, rake and other auxiliary equipment.
The project was implemented with the support of the municipality of Agadles and Sultanate Agades. The opening and transfer ceremony of the Center took place with the participation of the representative of the Sultan Agadles Albakari Illa Garo, the chairman of the youth council Agadada Ibrahim Idrassi, the head of the village of Eladep Gali Elingia, representatives of Ti̇ka and local farmers.
The project is aimed at diversifying agricultural and livestock activities in the region, involving youth in the production process, as well as solving problems with access to water.
