Tokaev abandoned Russian order

President of Kazakhstan Kasym Zhomart Tokaev decided not to accept any awards, both Kazakhstani and foreign, until the end of his authority as the head of state. This was reported by Tengrinews with reference to the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Ruslan Zheldibay.

Earlier, Kazakhstani political scientist Yerbol Irdov said in his Telegram channel that Moscow suggested award to Tokayev by the Order of Alexander Nevsky. The President of Kazakhstan thanked the receiving side for the honor, but refused the award, citing the fact that he decided not to make either domestic or foreign awards in the status of the head of state.
