Tokaev And Kota Emphasized Importance Of Dynamic Development Of Partnership Between Kazakhstan And EU

President of Kazakhstan Kasym -Zhomart Tokaev, who arrived in Samarkand to participate in the Summit “Central Asia – European Union”, held a meeting with the head of the European Council Antoniu Koshta.

According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, the meeting was devoted to the discussion of the prospects for further strengthening multifaceted cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev and Antoniu Costa emphasized the importance of dynamic development of partnership between Kazakhstan and the EU, based on mutual trust, strategic interests and long-term prospects.

The European Union is the largest trading partner and foreign investor of Kazakhstan, which accounts for more than 40 % of the total foreign direct investment. In 2024, the turnover between Kazakhstan and the countries of the European Union reached about 50 billion dollars, which is 80 % of the total EU trade with the countries of Central Asia.
