Tokaev discussed situation in Afghanistan with special representative of UN General

President Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev adopted a special representative of the UN Secretary General, the head of the regional center for preventive diplomacy for Central Asia, Kahu Imnadze. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the report, the current situation in Afghanistan was discussed during the meeting.

Tokaev congratulated Kahu Imnadze on his appointment and expressed confidence that he would make a significant contribution to the development of cooperation between the states of Central Asia and the UN.

The President emphasized the importance and demand for the regional center for preventive diplomacy for Central Asia and expressed his readiness to further support his efforts in ensuring sustainable growth, strengthening stability and security in the region.

In turn, Kakha Imnadze expressed gratitude to Tokaev for supporting the activities of the Center and noted the significant contribution of Kazakhstan to strengthening peace and promoting dialogue in the region.

As Kakha Imnadze assured, he will comprehensively contribute to the fruitful cooperation of the countries of the region.
