Egypt is one of the main partners of Kazakhstan in the Islamic and Arab world. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev at a meeting with the chairman of the Senate of the Egyptian Parliament Abdel Vahab Abdel Opel.

“Your country is the first of the Arab states to establish diplomatic relations with us. Today, Egypt is one of the main partners of Kazakhstan in the Islamic and Arab world. A constructive political dialogue has been established. Numerous bilateral agreements and agreements are in force. We are ready to maintain this dynamics and continue jointly Work on the expansion of interaction.

In turn, the chairman of the Senate of the Egypt parliament said that Cairo is interested in further strengthening bilateral contacts, including inter -parliamentary.

“I think this is correct from the point of view of the effective implementation of our common tasks. In Egypt, they are particularly warmth of Kazakhstan. There is much in common that unites our countries. I hope that new mutually beneficial agreements will be reached in the near future,” the speaker noted .

The interlocutors discussed the development of parliamentary diplomacy, the intensification of cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The President of Kazakhstan invited Egyptian companies to jointly implement investment projects in the transport and transit industry, tourism, digitalization, and also expressed gratitude to the Egyptian government for the restoration of the Sultan Beibars mosque in Cairo.

During the meeting, an exchange of views on topical issues of the global agenda and the interaction of the two countries through international organizations also took place.
