Kazakhstan was and remains a reliable partner of China. This was stated by the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev at a meeting with the deputy prime minister of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Liu Gozhun, who arrived in the republic with an official visit.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that the withdrawal of bilateral relations from the PRC to a new qualitative level is an important priority for the country.
“I want to note with great satisfaction that the Kazakh-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership, eternal friendship is continuously developing along the ascending lines and directed into the future. China is the leading trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan, occupying first place in terms of bilateral trade. According to the results of 2023 This indicator has reached the record $ 40 billion.
In turn, Liu Gochun also noted the positive dynamics of the development of cooperation between China and Kazakhstan.
During the conversation, the current state and development prospects of the Kazakh-Chinese strategic partnership were discussed, the course of the governments of the two countries of the agreements previously reached by President Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev and President Xi Jinping. In addition, the interlocutors examined the prospects for strengthening interaction in the areas of trade, investment, agriculture, transport and logistics, energy and tourism. The issues of the development of cultural and humanitarian ties were also discussed.
