Tokaev Noted Importance Of Activities Of Kazakhstani Peacekeepers At Golan Heights

President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev noted the importance of the activities of the Kazakhstani peacekeeping contingent at the Golan heights under the auspices of the UN.

According to the press service of Akorda on Monday, on November 25, the head of state heard the report of the Minister of Defense of Ruslan Zhaksylykov on the activities of the defense department for 2024.

The head of state was informed about the results of combat training of troops, the autumn draft campaign, measures to strengthen the discipline and security of military service, as well as to increase the social status and monetary allowance of military personnel.

Particular attention was paid to issues of a phased increase in the combat potential of the army and new approaches to the preparation of troops.

Zhaksylykov reported on the progress of the state defense order, the receipt of new models of equipment and weapons to the troops, including unmanned aviation systems and electronic warfare complexes.

It also was about the modernization of combat vehicles, communications, rationalization work and development of military infrastructure.

According to the results of the meeting, the president set the Minister specific tasks to intensify interaction with domestic defense enterprises, the development of territorial defense, special operations forces and strengthen social and legal work.
