Tokaev Noted Importance Of Signing An Allied Relationship With Tajikistan

The President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev met with the chairman of the lower house of the Tajikistan parliament Makhmadtoir Zokirzoda. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

The President of Kazakhstan is on an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Head of State noted that Kazakh-Tajik relations demonstrate high dynamics of development. Tokaev also recalled that the day before a historical agreement was signed – an allied relationship agreement that marks the beginning of a qualitatively new stage in bilateral cooperation.

“This is a document of historical importance, which is, in fact, a great step forward. I support the proposal of the respected President of Tajikistan Emomali Sharipovich Rakhmon about the intensification of inter -parliamentary ties. This is very important. We know you as a true friend of our country. Your student years have passed In Kazakhstan, therefore, we hope that our connections on the parliamentary line will develop successfully and will become a very important element of bilateral cooperation and allies, ”said the president of Kazakhstan.

In turn, the speaker of the lower house of the Tajikistan parliament expressed gratitude to the head of the Kazakh state for all support for the development of contacts between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

During the conversation, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of legislative support for the agreements in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

On the eve of the negotiations, Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev and Emomali Rahmon signed an allied relationship between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan. In addition, within the framework of the state visit, 15 more documents were signed.
