Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev held a meeting on Friday with the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the press service of the Kazakh leader reports.
The meeting took place on the fields of the Summit “Central Asia – European Union” in the city of Cholpon -Ata.
Tokaev noted the priority nature of the strategic partnership of Kazakhstan with the European Union. The agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation of Kazakhstan with the EU laid the foundation for a new stage of in -depth interaction. Today, the EU is a leading trading partner and the largest investor in the economy of Kazakhstan, he said.
In turn, Charles Michelle, highly appreciating the growing dynamics of cooperation between the European Union and Kazakhstan, noted the need for joint work on the further development of interaction.
There was also an exchange of views on the issues of the global and regional agenda.
