The volume of investments of the Eurasian Development Bank (EBR) in the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to $ 1.4 billion, while the share of Kazakhstani projects in the portfolio reached 60%. Such data follow the report on the current results and plans of the EBR.
According to the press service of the Kazakh leader, the President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev adopted the chairman of the EBR of Nikolai Podguzov.
Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev was informed that from the beginning of the implementation of the country’s strategy in the Republic of Kazakhstan at 2022-2026, the EBR has completed the investment plan in the amount of $ 3.8 billion. In 2025, there are projects in the amount of more than $ 4.5 billion. It is planned to send more than $ 1 billion to the modernization of infrastructure and energy facilities, the development of renewable energy, transport and logistics, including reconstruction of roads of republican significance, as well as industry and digital technologies.
According to Nikolai Podguzov, this year the EBR will continue to assist the development of the financial market of Kazakhstan and attract investment, closely interacting with partners and multilateral organizations, including through their own international events.
The head of the Kazakh state positively appreciated the contribution of the Eurasian Bank to the development of the economy of Kazakhstan and confirmed the readiness to further deepen cooperation.
The Eurasian Development Bank (EBR) is a multilateral development bank that carries out investment activities in the Eurasian space. The headquarters of the EABR is located in Almaty. As of 2025, in his portfolio there are 305 projects with a total value of $ 16.5 billion.
