Kazakhstan President Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev signed the Law “On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Turkish Republic on the organization of information exchange and simplification of customs control procedures”, the press service of the Kazakh leader.

According to the Kazakh media, ratification of the agreement will contribute to the simplification and optimization of customs procedures, the creation of favorable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity, which, in turn, improves the conditions for carriers of goods.
In particular, a priority procedure is provided for by the passage of the border at the checkpoints, simplifying customs formalities in order to reduce customs control, exemption from customs inspection at checkpoints, with the exception of cases of offenses in the field of customs and smuggling.
In addition, the agreement is aimed at improving the efficiency and reducing the terms of customs control through electronic exchange of information on goods and vehicles transported between Kazakhstan and Turkey.
