In the framework of the ecological month of Zhasyl Astana, President Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev took part in the city subbotnik and landing of trees in the linear park of the capital, the press service of the Kazakh leader reports.
During the subbotnik, Tokaev talked with volunteers and students.
“Kazakhstan is our common house, we must observe order in it. We need to plant trees, keep the streets clean. This is our civilian duty. We have no other country. I urge everyone to be responsible citizens. I thank you all, especially volunteers “, – said the president.

According to the akim of Astana, Zhenis Kasymbek, this year it is planned to plant more than a million green spaces in the city: seedlings of various trees and shrubs.
There will also be a reconstruction of parks and recreation zones along the Esil River.
The President noted the importance of creating favorable conditions for the rest of the townspeople and emphasized that he pays special attention to the improvement of Astana.
