The export of Turkish tea in January-May 2023 in price terms reached exceeded $ 14.8 million, which is 52 percent more than the first five months of last year.

According to him, Turkish tea has entered the counter of 103 countries and autonomous regions, as well as in free economic zones.
In January-May 2023, Turkey exported 3,114 tons of tea of $ 14,890,518. During the same period last year, the supply of Turkish tea to foreign markets amounted to 2,982 tons in the amount of 9 million 800 thousand 860 dollars. “Tea export compared to the same period last year increased by 4.4 percent in quantitative terms and 52 percent in price terms. The leading importers of tea were Belgium, the USA and UK. For the specified period, teapot products were exported to Belgium in the amount of 6,875,439 dollars, in the USA – for 2,026,356 dollars and in the UK – for 1,361,630 dollars, ”said Turgut.
This year, Turkish tea was also exported to countries such as Algeria, Slovakia, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Panama, Gabon, Malaysia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Portugal, Angola, Dominican Republic, Togo Ruanda and Poland.
