Gas from the deposit in the Turkish Black Sea segment will begin to enter the houses in the first half of May this year. This was announced by the chairman of the board and the general director of the Turkish oil corporation (TPAO) Melikh Khan Bilgin.
CEO commented on the current situation related to the processing plant of the Filos natural gas in the province of Songuldak in north of Turkey.
According to him, Black Sea gas is ready for supply, and security measures have been strengthened at the facility. “Starting from tonight, the security measures taken will reach the highest level,” Bilgin assured.
CEO recalled that the beginning of the supply of natural gas with the Sakarya deposit in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea is scheduled for Thursday, April 20.
Gas supply will be carried out in stages, he said. “At the first stage, the needs of households will be satisfied due to daily gas production with a volume of 10 million cubic meters. As part of the second stage, Turkey’s needs will be satisfied by 40 percent. In 2028, that is, the framework of the third stage, the daily gas production will be 60 million cubic meters” – said Bilgin.
