In 2024, the volume of Russian oil transit through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan will increase from the planned 500 thousand tons to 550 thousand tons. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakhstan operator for the main oil pipeline of KazTransoyil JSC.
“In accordance with the oil supply schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in January, Kaztransoyil JSC will supply 25 thousand tons of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan,” will be said in the message.
The process of pumping Russian oil to Uzbekistan on the system of trunk oil pipelines of KazTransoyil JSC began in 2017. The volume of transit in 2017 amounted to 67.9 thousand tons, in 2018 – 35.8 thousand tons. In 2019-2022, the transit of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan was not carried out. In 2023, Kaztransoyil JSC transported 154.3 thousand tons of Russian oil to the republic, the company said.
