Trudo accuses US in financing of protests in Canada

Canada’s authorities have already begun to freeze bank accounts of protests, said Deputy Prime Minister Chirini Fryland. How many bills are already frozen, she did not specify, but emphasized that the measures applied “will only increase.”

The movement of the “convoy of freedom” originated in Canada, where local truckers, dissatisfied with the restrictions due to COVID-19, began to overlap moving on the border with the United States. Last week, they blocked the Ambassador Bridge connecting Canada and the United States. Through this bridge, there are more than 25% of the volume of freight traffic between the two countries.
