US President Donald Trump turned to the Canadians going to the polls with an appeal to support the idea of joining Canada to the USA as a 51st state.
In his message on the social network, Truth Social Trump recommended that the Canadians choose a leader who “will halve taxes, bring military power to the highest level and increase 4 times the development of key industries, such as automotive, production, aluminum, wood and energy.”
According to Trump, all these promises can be implemented “by zero taxes and customs duties.”
He stated that in the event of Canada to join the United States, borders will be removed between countries and “free access”.
Trump also noted that the United States annually provides Canada for hundreds of billion dollars, and added that such support will be “logical” only if Canada becomes a 51st state.
The head of the White House emphasized that “many years ago two countries were divided by an artificial feature.”
“There should no longer be a border between us. Think about how beautiful it will be a single space. Continuous advantages, not a single drawback. It should have happened for a long time,” he wrote.
