Trump Again Included Khusitov In List Of “foreign Terrorist Organizations”

US President Donald Trump again included the Yemenskoye movement “Ansarullah” (Husits) in the list of “foreign terrorist organizations”.

Trump signed a decree according to which the Husites supported by Iran were returned to this list. In his statement, he recalled that he brought this group to the list of terrorist organizations in the last days of his presidential term in 2021. However, the administration of Joe Biden a few months after taking office excluded the Khusitov from this list, the president noted.

Trump emphasized that Iran spreads the “terrorist activity” in the region, and “Ansarullah” is used for this purpose. He noted that the organization poses a threat due to attacks on ships in the Red Sea, and this was the reason for its return to the list of terrorist organizations.

According to Trump’s decree, the US State Department will officially return Husitov to the list of foreign terrorist organizations within 30 days.

Former US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on February 16, 2021 announced the exclusion of the Ansarullah movement from the list of terrorist organizations. Then this decision was explained by the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen.

Previously, the Husites were submitted to this list in the last days of the presidency of Donald Trump.
