At the president’s ceremony, his wife Melania Trump will be accompanied. “Melania and I will go to the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome. We are looking forward to the opportunity to visit there!”, Trump wrote.
However, his phrase “we are looking forward to” caused criticism from users of social networks and a number of representatives of the Democratic Party, who considered the expression inappropriate in the context of a mourning event.
