Trump’s Sharp Criticism Of Zelensky Caused Negative Reaction In European Countries

A number of European leaders negatively reacted to the words of the head of the White House Donald Trump addressed to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

In particular, Trump called Zelensky a “dictator”, which “terribly copes” with his duties.

Czech President Peter Pavel said that the elections in the country, which for three years “resisted the attack of a neighboring nuclear power”, could not have any value.

“How can you organize elections when a fifth part of its territory is occupied, and the whole country is subjected to daily bombing? A great cynicism is required to call the president of such a country a dictator,” wrote the president of the Czech Republic.

According to Yle’s news agency, Finland President Alexander Stubb Podvreg Critic Trump’s Words at the event, saying that his country supports the Ukrainian Constitution and the “democratically elected President of Zelensky.”

“The Russian-Ukrainian war was launched by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and if he receives what he wants, we need to discuss the consequences of Trump,” said Stubb.

Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Bart Eide told NRK that Trump’s words against Zelensky were “completely false accusations.”

Previously, Trump wrote Truth Social on social networks, he loves Ukraine, but Zelensky did a “terrible work.”

“His country was torn to pieces, and millions of people died in vain. Zelensky, a dictator who does not hold elections, it is better to act quickly, otherwise he will lose his country,” he said.

After that, British Prime Minister Cyrus Starmer in a telephone conversation with Zelensky said he supports him as a “democratically elected president of Ukraine.”

Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Sholts called Trump’s words addressed to the President of Ukraine “wrong and dangerous.”

It is worth noting that French President Emmanuel Macron said on social networks that he shared the purpose of the US president to stop the war. At the same time, Macron did not mention the named after Zelensky. The head of France noted that Paris supports Ukraine and the Kyiv administration should be present at the negotiating table.
