Turkey: 110 suspects in involvement in PKK terrorists were detained

Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs underwent a large -scale operation to detain more than a hundred suspects of involvement in the PKK terrorist organization.

Destations were made in 21 provinces of the country with an emphasis on the southeastern province of Diyarbakyr. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the detention in general 110 suspects.

Among the detainees are the organizers of almost 60 street attacks, starting in 2017, as well as persons who have financed the criminal organization and participated in the promotion of the bloody organization.

Among the detainees and persons suspected of recruiting four children and adolescents in the ranks of PKK. The operation continues.

The United States and the European Union introduced PKK to the lists of terrorist organizations.

Despite Ankara’s attempts to find ways to settle the situation, the PKK terrorist organization has resumed armed attacks since July 2015.

In recent years, PKK seeks to shift responsibility for bloody crimes in the region to its branches.

In Syria, PKK terrorists are covered by the names Pyd and YPG, and in the last two years they call themselves “Syrian democratic forces.”
