The authorities of Kazakhstan approved the protocol on cooperation with Turkey in the field of military intelligence, reports KazTAG.
“to approve the attached protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Turkish Republic on cooperation in the field of military intelligence, committed in Ankara on May 10, 2022,” the decree of the Government of Kazakhstan says. The document has already been entered into effect.
The protocol was signed during the visit of the Kazakhstan delegation, led by President Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev in Ankara last spring. He determines the conditions for cooperation in three areas: “The parties cooperate in the following areas: 1) mutual exchange of intelligence military information and expert assessments on current topics; 2) monitoring the development of the military-political situation in the region (state), which pose a threat to the security of the states of the parties; 3) mutual exchange of information in relation to international terrorist and other organizations that pose a threat to the security of the states of the parties. “
