Turkey and Qatar restore flights to Kabul

Qatar and Turkey work on the restoration of passenger flights at Kabul airport in the near future, reports Reuters.

As reported by Qatar Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Tanya, both technical groups of both countries work at the airport.

“We hope that in the next few days we can achieve a level when the airport will be ready for passenger and humanitarian flights,” said Sheikh Mohammed at a joint press conference in Doha with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

Turkey stated that damage to the runway, the tap and the terminals of the airport must be repaired before the civil flights can be resumed.
