Turkey and US will discuss supply of F-35

Delegations of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey and the United States are planning to meet in Washington on the topic of the supply of American F-35 fighters. This is reported by NTV TV channel with reference to sources.

It is reported that this will be the second meeting on this issue. Delivery of supplies is planned in a few months.

“Sources in the Ministry of National Defense reported that the request for the supply of aircraft and admission to the program was transferred to the American authorities,” the TV channel says.

Earlier, the United States excluded Turkey from the program to sell the latest F-35 fighters. This happened due to the purchase of Ankara Russian Air Defense S-400 systems. Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara intends to receive 1.4 billion dollars from the US paid for future supplies of the F-35, which will not be held now.
