The European Union avoids a dialogue with Turkey in promoting a dialogue on the simplification of the visa regime and updating the Customs Union. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlyut Chavushoglu, commenting on the outcomes of the outgoing year at a press conference in Ankara.
According to the minister, the majority of the remaining criteria extended by the European Union have already been completed by Ankara.
“The European Union today simply delays the time to remove the possibility of resolving the issue. The rate is made on the refusal to implement these promises,” said Chavushoglu.
