The Turkish Ministry of Health recorded on Saturday a little more than 18 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection in the country. This figure for the first time since March 17, when 18,912 new cases were registered, dropped below the mark of 20 thousand people.
“Over the past 24 hours, 228,873 tests were made, 18,052 cases of infection with coronavirus were revealed. 281 people died. Now the total number of dead is 42,746, and infected – 5,016 million,” is noted in the daily report of the Ministry of Health. 4.691 million people recovered, added to the department.
During the day earlier, the daily growth of the infected coronavirus was 20,107 people.
