The volume of Turkish exports in January -March of the current year to neighboring camps (Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Syria and Greece) amounted to 6 billion 243 million 71 thousand dollars.
As Anadol reports with reference to the data of the Ministry of Trade and Assembly of Turkey Exporters, the volume of foreign sales of Turkey in the first quarter of this year amounted to $ 65.3 billion.
Turkey in January-March of the current exported to neighboring Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Iran, Syria and Greece goods worth 6 billion 243 million 71 thousand dollars against 5 billion 910 million 298 thousand dollars in the same period last year.
Thus, exports to these neighboring countries in January-March of this year increased by 5.6% compared to the same period last year.
The largest volume of Turkish exports during the period under consideration was carried out in Iraq – 2 billion 563 million 861 thousand dollars. The following is Bulgaria -1 billion 176 million $ 583 thousand, Greece – 910 million $ 145 thousand, Iran – 544 million 498 thousand dollars and Georgia -539 million 989 thousand dollars.
Good relations with Syria are reflected in export indicators
With the fall of the previous regime in Syria on December 8, 2024, Turkey’s relations with this country reached a new level, a number of steps were taken, including an increase in trade and diplomatic visits, the removal of some trading restrictions.
It is noted that these changes also reflected in trading indicators between the two countries. If in the first quarter of 2024 Turkey exports to this country amounted to 386 million 986 thousand dollars, then in 2025 this amount increased by 31.2 %, 507 million 889 thousand dollars. The country with the highest increase in exports in annual calculus became Greece – 37.9 %. If in the first quarter of last year exports to Greece amounted to 660 million 238 thousand dollars, then over this year this figure reached 910 million $ 145 thousand.
