The story of Tomtaş Havacılık Ve Teknoloji Aş is rooted in the 1920s. After the creation of the Turkish Aviation Society in 1925, the creation of a national aviation plant in the country was important.
The officially opening of the TomTaş plant took place in 1916. Part of the equipment and personnel of the enterprise arrived from Germany. The plant carried out the installation and production of some parts of the German company Junkers.
In connection with the disagreements between the Turkish and German employees of the company, as well as the failure to fulfill the representatives of Junkers of their contractual obligations, the enterprise was terminated in 1928.
The share of Junkers was transferred to the Turkish aviation society. In 1931, Tomtaş resumed activities called Kaiseri Aviation Factory. However, in the future, the enterprise was transformed into the command of the Kaiseri Air Transport Technical Control Center.
