The chairman of the Turkish Party of the Nationalist Movement, Devlet Bakhcheli, who is in an alliance with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that the Turkish leader should meet with the Syrian President Bashar Assad.
“Contact established by our president with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al -Sisi is the right contact. It is also necessary to create the opportunity to meet with Bashar Assad and develop general measures to counteract terrorist organizations,” said Bakhcheli, quoted by foreign media.

The Turkish authorities in this regard stated that such negotiations have not yet been planned and contacts between Ankara and Damascus are supported only through the special services.
