Turkey: Over 3.5 Thousand Were Evacuated Due To Forest Fires

In five provinces of Turkey, 3,583 people are evacuated as a precaution in connection with forest fires.

This was reported in the Office for the fight against natural disasters and emergency situations under the government of Turkey (AFAD).

The evacuation was held in the provinces of Izmir, Aydin, Bole, Mugla and Manis, according to the publication of AFAD on a social network.

The relevant institutions make continuous efforts to localize the foci of fires that arose in different regions of the country, the extinguishing is carried out from the air and land, said in Afad.

“In Izmir, Aydin, Bole, Mugle and Manis, 90 units of aviation, a number of 4,717 people and 1218 units of ground equipment are involved in the fire extinguishing. 3 thousand 583 citizens are evacuated as a precaution in safe areas,” From the message.

The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakla said that 69 fires were taken under control, six remain active.
