At a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the head of the united grain company (OZK) Dmitry Sergeyev said that the company is moving with partners from “friendly” countries to pay in rubles. These conditions, in particular, have already adopted Turkey, reports Kommersant.
Sergeyev said that OZK expects to get rid of the mediation of international traders and work with immigrant countries directly
“… We are now moving to payment in national currency with our partners from friendly countries. So, we have already concluded several contracts with Turkish partners, the last of them – in March of this year, payment will be in rubles, the total amount will amount to 3 billion rubles, ”said the head of the OZK.
The Russian Union of Grain Exporters (includes OZK) at the end of March asked the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to work out the opportunity to fulfill Russian grain of calculations in rubles under export contracts. This initiative was nominated due to difficulties with receiving payments against the background of war in Ukraine.
