In four provinces of Turkey, voting points for voting at the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan, planned on July 9, will be opened.
This was announced by the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul Amirsaid Agzamkhodzhaev during a meeting with the honorary consul of Uzbekistan in Bursa Ali Baklana.
Agzamkhodzhaev attracted attention to the presence of multilateral ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
According to him, relations between the two countries are actively developing.
The ambassador noted that if, according to the results of 2017, the turnover between Turkey and Uzbekistan amounted to $ 1 billion, then the current year is projected to complete at the level of $ 3.5 billion. “These indicators, of course, do not reflect the existing potential,” he stressed.
The diplomat noted that the current president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev continues the course for reforms that have already brought significant fruits.
At the same time, the relationship between Ankara and Tashkent increased to the level of strategic interaction.
Agzamkhodzhaev recalled that in accordance with Mirziyoyev’s decree, the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan will be held on July 9.
In this regard, in the four provinces of Turkey – Ankara, Istanbul, Bursa and Antalya, polling stations for Uzbek citizens living in the country will be opened.
