For the sake of membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Turkey is obliged to refuse to participate in military blocs such as NATO, said the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the SCO Bakhtier Khakimov, who is quoted by the Russian media.
He also assured that the SCO will consider the Turkish application as soon as it comes, but so far there was no such initiative from Ankara.
