Turkey authorities intend to purchase grain from Ukraine with a discount of more than 25%. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vakhit Kirishchi, noting that Ankara is making active diplomatic efforts to unlock grain export from Ukrainian ports.

According to him, in Turkey this week will be held two important meetings dedicated to the supply of Ukrainian grain to world markets. One of them will take place in Istanbul with the participation of representatives of the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN dedicated to the creation of the monitoring center for the transportation of Ukrainian grain by the sea. The issues of creating a “grain corridor” on Wednesday in Ankara will be discussed by the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov, said Turkish minister.
Turkish authorities previously reported that negotiations on the creation of the so -called grain center in Istanbul as a whole are positively held and the supply of Ukrainian grain on the Black Sea and through the zone of straits can begin in the near future.
