Turkey’s Economy Increased By 2.5% In Second Quarter

The economy of Turkey in the second quarter of 2024 increased by 2.5 percent compared to the same period last year. This was announced by the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k).

According to the agency, from April to June of the current year, the country’s GDP compared to the same period of 2023 increased by 78.6 percent and amounted to 949 billion 792 million Turkish lires (308 billion $ 158 million) at current prices.

Thus, the Turkish economy has already grown in a row after the second quarter of 2020, when measures were taken to combat pandemia Covid-19.

On the other hand, Tüi̇k revised some data for previous periods.
