The gross domestic product (GDP) of Turkey increased by 5.9 percent in the third quarter of 2023.
This was announced by the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k).
According to the agency, from July to September of the current year, the country’s GDP compared to the same period of 2022 increased by 79.8 percent and amounted to 7.68 trillion of Turkish lire ($ 295.8 billion) at current prices.
Import of goods and services in the third quarter grew by 14.5 percent in annual calculus, and export – by 1.1 percent.
The Turkish economy showed an increase of 4 percent in the first quarter and 3.9 percent in the second quarter of the current year.
