Turkey’s Parliament will consider Shusha Declaration

The Presidium of the Great National Assembly (Parliament) of Turkey presents a bill that reflects the Shushinsky Declaration, which provides for the official conclusion of Turkish-Azerbaijani relations to the level of allied, reports Anadolu.

Earlier today, Milli Majlis Azerbaijan approved the Shushinsky Declaration.

Signatures under the document June 15, 2021 set the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey – Ilham Aliyev and Regep Tayyip Erdogan.

In one of the items of the Declaration, it is said that in the case of a threat or aggression by the third state or states regarding independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of the boundaries of one of the countries, “the parties will provide each other with the necessary assistance in accordance with the UN Charter “.

The document emphasizes that the current level of ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan contributes to the regional and international world and welfare.
