Turkic countries discussed prospects for cooperation on space research

In the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, the second meeting of the space agencies of the organization of the Turkic states (OTG) and the relevant authorities took place.

The meeting was chaired by the CEO of the Cosmic Research and Technology Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan (Uzbekosmos) Shukhrat Kadyrov.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of OTG, the Ambassador of Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the head of the Turkish Space Agency Serdar Hussein Yildirm, Chairman of the Board of the National Space Agency of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) Sameddin Asadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aviation Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Malik Oldjabek, and deputy director of the State Agency of State Agency ties of Kyrgyzstan Timur Tokoldoshov, as well as high -ranking representatives of the relevant institutions of the countries -observers of the Ott -Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In turn, JILDYRY agreed with the importance of work in the field of space technology. “Those who are not in space cannot say their word in the international arena,” he said.

The head of the Turkish Space Agency suggested that the OTG participating countries implement a joint project of Kubsat (the format of small artificial Earth satellites for exploration of space with 10 × 10 × 10 cm dimensions with a mass of not more than 1.33 kg) during coordination with the Turkish space agency.

According to him, this is very important for all parties, both from a technical point of view and from the point of view of joint work.

The first meeting of the space agencies of OTG and the related bodies took place on December 20, 2021 in Azerbaijan.
