Turkic States Adapt Their Politicians To Green Transition

Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey Mustafa Tuzju said that the member countries of the organization of Turkic states (OTG) will coordinate their efforts in the field of green transition and share experience in the fight against climate change.

In an interview with Anadol, on the fields of the 29th session of the conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), taking place in Baku, Tuzju noted that at a meeting with the participation of ministers and senior representatives of the OTG countries, the issues of ecology, digital economy and sustainable development.

“In Baku, we signed an important declaration. The OTG member countries agreed on the coordination of their politicians in accordance with the principles of the green transition and agreed to exchange experience. In addition, they will jointly attract financial resources to combat climate change,” Tuzja said.

He recalled that OTG previously entered into agreements on simplification of trade and digital economic partnership, emphasizing the role of Turkey as a country with rich experience in this area: “Thanks to the Customs Union and EU legislation, Turkey has gained significant experience that is ready to share with fraternal countries “

Tuzj also expressed satisfaction with the fact that COP29 is taking place in Azerbaijan.

“Control against climate change is possible only through regional and international cooperation. We hope that cooperation between OTG countries will become an example for other international organizations.”
